This assessment is suitable when selective mutism is suspected and you are seeking diagnostic clarity or for children who already have an identified diagnosis of selective mutism and require a specialist-led review of their current provision to ensure it is appropriate and effective.

    • Conducted online via Zoom with a parent

    • The child is not present for this assessment

    • A detailed parent consultation exploring developmental history, emotional factors and your child’s communication patterns

    • Clinical guidance informed by specialist training and experience in selective mutism

    • Consultation with key professionals (e.g. class teacher) to ensure a reliable, well-rounded understanding

    • Session length: up to 120 minutes
